Appeal for Relief Materials to Cushion Economic Impacts of Covid-19 on Poor, Needy and Vulnerable families in the Gambia

Family Care Organisation in collaboration with Mahatma Gandhi Foundation in the Gambia brings you greetings even as the world battles with covid-19 pandemic.

The outbreak of covid-19 no doubt has consequential impacts on humanity and calls for humanitarian concern as it has paralysed all sectors of economy. To a large extent the poor, needy and vulnerable families are the most affected in the lockdown. Consequently, a government regulations to contain the spread of the virus in the country has great impact on poor, needy and vulnerable families.


Whilst government civil servants continue to take salaries and wages despite state of emergency,  unfortunately the poor, needy and vulnerable families while staying at home in compliance with Government regulations to contain covid-19 pandemic.

It is on the basis of the above stated that initiative has been to mobilise support in order to offer palliative measures in cash or materials to Cushion the economic burden of covid-19 on the poor, needy and vulnerable families during this period.
